This album starts out with Brian Ross doing a killer scream! Then a killer riff coming through the speakers. Farewell Evolution is a really good song to start out the album with. The whole song is chuck full of great guitar riffing. And an awesome solo on top of that! Fallen Saviour has a really crunchy riff and it has some really memorable guitar work and is freaking awesome! Ruination is one of my favorite off the bat the vocals and guitars are just really catchy and show good songwriting. This is another great track I think a lot of people will really enjoy in a live setting.
The Devils Infantry was the first song we heard from this album and this is another song that will probably see a lot of live play. It’s fast and catchy! What’s not to like? A lot of good vocal lines and guitar riffing in this for sure. Atom By Atom is another one of my favorite tracks on this album. When Brian Ross sings the chorus of Atom By Atom he has a lot of power in his voice. Ahriman is another one of my favorite tracks. Brian’s vocals are really good on this song. He has a powerful voice throughout the whole album!
The Last two songs Bound In Enmity and The Fall of Persephone are both great songs to close out the album. The Fall of Persephone has this epic moment in the song where it's like a choir and it really fits in well. I think this album is definitely a good follow up to Life Sentence! It doesn’t beat it but it’s damn good. It has a good raw organic production. It fits that good middle spot, where everything can be heard quite well but it isn't overly polished it still has that raw sound that fans want from Satan. Many fans of Satan will not be disappointed by this album. Also, from a guitarist perspective Russ Tippins is an amazing guitarist. I don’t know why he doesn’t get more recognition. Brian Ross on vocals he sounds good as ever the whole band sounds tight! Hopefully, one day they will return to the U.S it would be great to see them live. Until then you can crank this album!
